Ben Hollingshead is an actor and playwright based at Stanford University, where he is pursuing a BA in Theater and Performance Studies (TAPS) and Economics. He currently serves as Head of Digital Outreach and a company actor with the Stanford Shakespeare Company.
Ben holds both contemporary and classical training, with additional studies in musical theater and choral singing. He has trained at Northwestern University's NHSI "Cherubs" Theater Arts program and the British American Drama Academy's Midsummer in Oxford program. His work spans stages at The Bishop's School, Stanford's Nitery Experimental Theater (NExT), and the Stanford Shakespeare Company.
Recent credits include Schmitz in Max Frisch's The Arsonists (Stanford), Demetrius in A Midsummer Night's Dream (BADA Midsummer in Oxford), Laertes in Hamlet (NExT), Prince Hal in Henry IV (Stanford Shakespeare Company), and Hamlet in Hamlet (The Bishop's School). He will next be seen as Romeo in the Stanford Theater’s production of Romeo and Juliet.
